Jinxiu Longcheng, where mountains and waters complement one another, offers a breathtaking landscape. Coal, coke, and steel industries are closely intertwined, fostering symbiotic growth and mutual benefit. A grand gathering brings together distinguished guests from far and wide. On November 11, 2023, twelve coal‑chemical enterprises convened in Changzhou to discuss cooperation, strengthen friendships, and, under the conference theme of “Integration, Sharing, and Win‑Win,” seize new opportunities emerging in the context of the new development paradigm.

As professionals in the coking industry, we face numerous shared challenges and difficulties. Issues such as market information asymmetry, uneven resource allocation, and an underdeveloped cooperation framework all impact our growth and competitiveness. We firmly believe that, within this vast and complex coking‑industry market, only through interconnected collaboration and resource sharing can we achieve genuine co‑creation and mutual benefit. By establishing a market‑sharing platform, we can break down information barriers, enabling all stakeholders to swiftly access the latest market trends and partnership opportunities; we can facilitate resource sharing, turning surplus assets into value while replenishing scarce resources; and we can forge robust cooperative mechanisms that foster collaboration and joint development among all parties.

Regarding our vision for the platform, we aim to foster efficient market operations and sustainable development in the coking industry through a shared‑platform model. We are committed to building an ecosystem characterized by active collaboration, resource sharing, and innovation-driven growth. By developing this platform, we seek to catalyze market‑wide innovation, facilitate integrated resource utilization, and contribute to the coking industry’s transition toward greater environmental sustainability and long-term viability.

At the conference, Mr. Ma Xibo, Director of the Expert Committee of the China Coking Industry Association, analyzed the current state of the industry: 1. China is a major player in both the coke and steel sectors, yet it currently faces challenges such as overcapacity and uneven regional distribution. 2. The state has issued a series of policy documents setting environmental and energy‑saving standards, regulating industrial structure, and mandating ultra‑low emissions—measures that constrain the development of the coking industry under existing technological conditions. 3. Coke prices have remained persistently high, placing significant cost pressures on producers. Under this pressure, many players in the coking sector are pessimistic about the industry’s future, with some even struggling to maintain adequate cash flow. Nevertheless, seizing opportunities amid crisis and fostering collaboration, industry participants are turning their attention to the Belt and Road Initiative, shifting their focus toward Southeast Asia and Africa to broaden their growth prospects, while rigorously implementing policies on capacity reduction, carbon neutrality, and stringent emission controls, thereby advancing sustainable development. Director Ma Xibo called on his peers to join forces: “Hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder, let us overcome these difficult times together and warm each other through solidarity!”

At the conference, Mr. Meng Xiaodong, Chairman of Jiangsu Longye Energy‑Saving Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a speech: “The great path is never lonely; we share a common destiny. When hearts are united and minds aligned, no endeavor can fail. Although the current macro environment remains challenging, crises also bring opportunities. This market‑sharing platform exchange not only strengthens communication and collaboration within the industry but also injects fresh momentum into the platform’s future development.
